Sara and Mike
I decided to surprise Sara for our
engagement by re-creating our first date. We went to a
fabulous Mexican restaurant in Adams Morgan in
Washington DC called Lauriol Plaza. Afterward, we had
coffee at the coffee shop across the street. Following
coffee, I took Sara to the Jefferson Memorial, our
favorite memorial, where I asked her to marry me. It
was a beautiful March night, the skies were clear, and
we had a great view of the Washington Monument and the
White House. Afterwards, we went back to my place
where her family from Texas and my family from New
Jersey were waiting to surprise her. It was perfect!
